If I understand your question correctly, I believe that you are asking whether it is possible to periodically power down an attached cellular modem. It is a rather common practise to control the power to the modem using the datalogger's SW 12V instruction. Depending on the draw of the modem, you may need to use a solid state relay to do this. Your program can close the PPP connection with the cellular provider using the PPPClose() instruction and can renegotiate that connection using the PPPOpen() instruction.

thank you for your answer
you have understand my question.

i have see on the forum it's possible by the SW_12V instruction. and i have find a beginning of program.
but I have not yet managed to get what I want.
I would feed the modem (is a fasttrack sold by campbell) for 6h and cut for 6 h and so on.
do you think it is possible.
not being very tough programming I try without success.

if you have an exemple it would be perfect!
while waiting to read you
sincerly
