fdec Aug 29, 2012 06:25 AM

dear all,
we recently try to install the communication between 5 cr3000 and the PC with loggernet with 5 GPRS

so we can connect to the station but we are disconnected every 5 seconds and loggernet connect at the station after the disconnection but it's long.

on the trouble shooter table, the error message are unexpected socket close

on the status monitor, the column= AVG ERR% for the line IPPORT are 31.47%

do you have an idea of the problem?

while waiting to read you
sincerly

The most common reason for these types of disconnection is that there are more than one PakBus clients connecting to the datalogger over TCP and these are using the same PakBus address. I would suggest that you change LoggerNet's PakBus address by choosing the "Options" menu in the LoggerNet set up screen and then choosing "LoggerNet PakBus Settings". My personal preference is to assign each PakBus port a unique PakBus address.

If this suggestion does not help, I would suggest that, in DevConfig, you connect to the datalogger, go to the "Settings Editor" tab and set the "IP Trace COM Port" setting to something like "COM ME" (you will need an SC32B to monitor the port), set the "IP Trace Code" setting to 65535, and apply the settings. You should then be able to select the "Unknown" device type in devconfig so that you can monitor the output from the datalogger. There may be messages from the datalogger that will explain why the connection is being broken.
