SYNOP or METAR from CR1000

Hi to everyone,

An existing system (PC) is predisposed to receive data from intelligent sensors with synop or metar encoding.
Does anyone know if a CR1000 can manage some sensors of this type and make it as a memory backup to the existing system?
Then replicate, with the same SYNOP or METAR protocol, the data received from the sensors.
