Setting up Freewave radios and CR800

VinceSLR Jul 23, 2012 08:41 PM

Hi all,

I have an In-Situ level troll 500 transducer that is connected to a CR800 via SDI-12. This logger is connected to a freewave radio FGR2-PE (slave) via a serial cable. Another FGR2-PE radio (Master) is connected to my laptop. These two radios are connected together, and now I want to configure loggernet to collect the data from my logger. I have been trying for a week and was unable to make it. I know the connection between the logger and the sensor is working as I can see data when connected directly to my computer via RS232 and Loggernet set with COMport. I also know that my two radios are seeing each other and I was able to transmit data from the serial cable on the slave radio to my laptop via the telnet command.
Loggernet config:
I feel that my problem comes from how I am setting loggernet with the whole set-up. I am using IP port, where the IP address is 192.168.111.101, port 101 (IP address of the logger’s radio, and open port on the radio). The Packbus address is 1, corresponding to my logger Packbus address. I have a baud rate of 115k on all the devices (but I tested at 9600 in vain) and put an extra response time of 10s.

Logger config:
Packbus: 1
RS232 port always on

Radio config: Point to Multi-point network
Master:
TCP Client
Client port 9000
IP 192.168.111.100
Gateway: 192.168.111.11
Modem mode gateway

Slave:
TCP server
server port 101
IP 192.111.168.101
Gateway: 192.168.111.11
Modem mode Endpoint

Computer set on static IP:
IP address 192.168.111.102

When I put these settings in, I am not able to connect to my logger. I get the error message open failed etc.

Thanks a lot for your help
