CFM100 has solid light

AureconD Jul 10, 2012 11:34 PM

I have 8 CR1000 loggers operating at remote sites. Each is equipped with a CFM100 compact flash module recording 1 second sample data on a 2GB CF card. This setup works fine in most cases. Normally the status LED light on the CFM100 shows a fast flickering red light showing that data is being recorded properly. However at one mast the status LED light is constantly a solid orange/red colour). What does this indicate? No data has been stored on the CF card while this has been happening.

Usually it means the data/files on the card is incompatible with the program running on the datalogger in some way. You should see a error message in the status table's CompileResults field that will give you an idea of what is happening. Also check the status tables CardStatus and CardBytesFree fields.

Has there been a new program uploaded to the logger recently? Is the card full by chance?
