How to measure a 12V input voltage

seo08 Jul 9, 2012 10:17 AM

Good morning,

I'm working with a CR1000 datalogger and I have to measure values from a 12V external battery (separated from the main power source) . I've checked and this logger has analog inputs which measure input voltage in a -5/+5 range. Is there a way to measure a 12V voltage without external circuit?

Thanks a lot

I am afraid that at the minimum you will need some form of voltage divider, which in its simplest form would be comprised of two resistors. We sell precision differential voltage dividers for this purpose, the VDIV10:1 being one.
