PT 100 with a 3WHB

liminality Jun 14, 2012 05:34 AM

Hi all,

I'm looking to connect a PT100 sensor with three lead wires to a CR1000 datalogger, to read temperature measurements.

As I'm fairly new to these electronics, I would like to clarify if the three-wire half bridge modules (https://www.campbellsci.com/3whb10k) are meant specifically for PT100s that are packaged with as the three wire types? Or would four-wire half bridge modules work as well for these three-wire PT100 sensors?

Hope you can help me with this.

Thanks and best regards.

Take a look at section 11.18.2 in the CR1000 manual
