Raven XTV Communication Help

Britt May 21, 2012 05:31 PM

Hello!

I'm having a rather frustrating problem communicating with my CR1000 at the moment. I have a RavenXTV modem with a static IP, good cellular signal, and an active Verizon plan connected to my CR1000 in the "field" (which is the space outside my office where it is easily accessible). I've followed the directions for modem set up in the manual, and configured the device with the template. However, every time Loggernet tries it's connection with the Raven, I get the following message:

Transaction failure, "unreachable destination", Get Logger Program status .... etc

I've "ping"-ed the static IP address from the command prompt of my computer and have received feedback. I'm a little lost as to what this error message means and how I might fix this.

Thanks

It sounds to me like the PakBus address that LoggerNet is using to reach your logger is not the same as the PakBus address set in the datalogger.

This message may also appear if the socket connection cannot be established. In this case, there should be a socket failure reported for the root level device in the network map.

Thanks, jtrauntvein. I think it was, in fact, a pakbus address error.
