Hi everyone,
Can 109 thermistor be uesed to measure ice temperature in ice layer at 1 meter depth?
If it can, are there any matters need attention when mounting?

The manual states that it is good for shallow burial only.
It may be that the weight of soil (or ice) could damage the epoxy surround.
You may be better with a thermocouple or one of the temperature sensors that are encased in stainless steel.
