Error installong Loggernet 4.1

Mavada Nov 9, 2011 10:32 AM

ive got an error when installing Loggernet 4.1

The error is:

Feature: mainfeature
File: <WINSYSDIR>\Ipng.dll
Error: the syntaxis of the filename, mapname or volumename is incorrect.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Based on the error message it sounds as if you are trying to install to a directory that does not exist, or create a directory during the installation that uses illegal characters.

Are you installing the software using all default directories, and to the C:\ drive?

The DLL that is being pointed to is a Microsoft Windows dll, not a LoggerNet dll. It could be that the dll is corrupted if there is nothing wrong with the directory structure.

Mavada

The DLL name you typed was "IPNG". Could that be "LPNG" instead? What Windows OS are you trying to install on?

windows 7 64 bit. ive got the error again, last time i had to reinstall windows 7 to get it working again...
when uninstalling it using the windows uninstall procedure, it goes wrong this way, got an error message which i cant remember...when uninstalling by ccleaner it goes fine...
So how do i get it working again?
loggernet 4.0 will install fine but cant connect to the cr1000 datalogger...
version 4.1 will give the error above halfway the installation...:(
