same "read failed" message

I set up the data logger just fine on this computer before, but the hard drive died and I had to start over with program installations. I have a CR1000 and I'm connecting via a USB/Rs-232 provided by Campbell.

The error message is:
"Could not locate PakBus devices

________________________
12:59:55.306 Fault
"read failed"
_________________________

Can you help me solve this?

you could check three things.

1. Using Device Configuration Utility to test communication.

2. Using with other baud rate.

3. Replace other USB to RS232.

Please sure that your usb to rs232 work ok.

This is a known incompatibility with some USB drivers and some computer OSes. Make sure you are using LoggerNet 4.1, where this problem was addressed.
