Connecting LI-191 to a CR-1000

Jordi Sep 12, 2011 05:41 PM

I've recently purchased a LI-191 instrument (with a BNC cable) and I've tried to connect it to a CR-1000 using a shunt resistance of 604 Ohms. I've placed the internal coaxial cable in H and the shield in G. I've placed a jumper between L and G and here is a shunt resistance of 604 Ohm between H and L channels. The datalogger, however, is reading between two and three times what is should be (I've compared the values with a Decagon instrument).

To read the instrument I use:

VoltDiff (PAR_out,1,mV25,3,True,0,_50Hz,-250,0)

where -250 is the multiplier supplied by Licor to compute PAR.

I would appreciate if you know somebody that have plugged this kind of sensor into a CR-1000 in order to know if I'm misunderstanding anything.

Thanks in advance.

Jordi
