CMS Crashes on product selection

Hi Guys,

Trying to input a new product but the screen locks up on selection of the product from the drop down list and the only option is to exit the browser completely.

Have tried logging out and back in - it just freezes on the selection of the product - fh500.

Tracy,

This is one of those that Iain and Tanner had a discussion on a while back. For some reason there were some products that didn't import well from the Excel file. I had to run the specs field content through Notepad, then it worked.

Try it now and let me know if it doesn't work. There will likely be others like this. Just let us know which product and we'll fix it.

Hi Lex,

I take everything into notepad first so I doubt that was the reason in this case.

For some reason now it's allowing access.

The page was fh500.

Tracy,

I think Tanner discovered that this problem was caused by the import from the Excel file. Notepad got rid of the problem. If you are going through Notepad for your other CMS interactions, that's a good thing, though I'm surprised it leave in pre tags from an Acrobat paste.

There will be a few more of these with the Excel problem.
