The 385MB was used with our retired 385 and 380 gages. It attached to a user-supplied pipe that was secured to the ground. The pipe needed to be threaded, 1.25 IPS (1.66" OD), and long enough to place the gage's orifice at a one-meter height. A concrete pad was recommended.

Campbell Scientific replaced this leveling base with the CM240 on June 27, 2008. The 385MB was formerly known as the 380MB; model number changed in 1995.
The 385MB was used with our retired 385 and 380 gages. It was not compatible with our other rain gages.
